Free Fly Fishing & Lessons
If you have never tried Fly Fishing you don't know what you are missing. There's no wiggly live worms to handle, just an artificial fly that is cast with a Fly Rod attached to the Fly line. The fly line is usually coated with plastic, making it heavy enough to cast your fly to that big trout you see beneath the waters of our five privately stocked "Catch & Release" trout ponds. A little tug here, a little tug there, will cause the trout to think he has found something to eat and he strikes to swallow the fly. Now it is up to you to reel him in carefully and not let him get away so that you can take home a picture of you and that "big one that didn't get away" then throw him back into the pond.
We provide Free Fly Fishing equipment for all of our guests. Check with our Guest Activites staff and arrange for one of our on-duty Fly Fishing Instructors to teach you the art of Fly Fishing with Free Lessons. For an additional cost you may have Private Fly Fishing Instruction from Chip Chipman, our Director of Fly Fishing, on our private streams and ponds. Chip can also arrange a guided half day or full day trip for your Fly Fishing pleasure.
